Report

The data table shows courses organized by subject, course number and title, instructional format, section, course control number, instructor, and meeting times. When there are canceled sections, a second data table is presented with the enrollment counts for the canceled sections.

Class Tracking report

When you select the Section Nbr for a class displayed in the table, the enrollment fill pattern is displayed in a chart located beneath the table, for all available weeks in the registration period of the semester selected. You can also use the drop-down lists above the chart to select a specific class.

Sample Question and Answer

Look at the snapshot for the Dept. of Mathematics for Week -06 in Spring 2013. View the chart at the bottom of the page, and look at the enrollment pattern for Section 002 of Math 1B. Was this section in high demand? How did the Department address that?

Select the following filters and Apply:

  • Year: 2013

  • Semester: Spring

  • Snapshot: Week -06

  • Department: Mathematics

Scroll down below the tabular chart to the Class Tracking Graph. Select the following from the drop-down lists:

  • Course Number: 1B

  • Section Nbr: 002

This class was full and had a waitlist by Week -06, so the department increased the enrollment limit in Weeks 0 and 01. By the first week of the semester, the waitlist was almost completely cleared. By changing the section in the drop-down list, you can see that there was also still space in sections 001 and 003.
