Working in small groups, the Cal Answers Basic Navigation - Financial instructor-led course has a series of challenges to solve using the basic navigation skills covered in the Cal Answers Basic Navigation self-study course. On completion of the course, you’ll be able to determine which dashboard and report to use to answer your questions and how to use prompts, report features, customizations, and documentation to work efficiently and confidently.

Wiki documentation describes dashboards, reports, and the data available in those dashboard reports.

  • Dashboard pages provide an overview of the dashboard, the data source and update schedule, comparison with similar dashboards, and a listing of the reports in the dashboard.
  • Report pages describe the report purpose and key questions that can be answered, prompts/filters you can use to define the data included in the report, descriptions of the report views, drill-down functionality, and other important information specific to the report.
