Roomshare & Crosslisted Course Detail Report
The Roomshare & Crosslisted Course Detail report shows details about credit for courses that are roomshared or crosslisted. It also allows you to see, for any course where the credit is split, all of the instructors and departments getting credit for a course, and how much credit each is getting. This report is organized by the “Roomshare Bundle ID”, a unique identifier that groups all courses happening in the same time and space under the same identifier. Courses that are not roomshared still get a unique Roomshare Bundle ID.
When the Course Detail by Credited Dept report shows that your department was credited with part of the teaching activity for a crosslisted course, you can go to this report to examine the rest of the bundle to learn what other departments also received credit.
Filters
-
You can select one fall or spring semester (summer isn’t available in this report) at a time and filter the result set to return the crosslisted or roomshared data for the bundle listings that you've identified.
-
You can also filter the result set by course level, offering type, instructional format, as well as whether the bundle is officially crosslisted or identified as roomshared. You can also uncheck both of these and see the split credit for all courses in the selected unit.
-
Note that the College/School, Division, and Department filters are for the unit that the course subject(s) are listed under, not the credited department.
-
To see crosslisted courses, select Y in the Crosslisted Course Flag filter.
-
To see courses that share a room, select Y in the Roomshare Flag filter.
-
For a list of all courses in your unit, including regularly listed classes as well as crosslisted bundles, uncheck the Crosslisted Course Flag and the Roomshare Flag filters.
Report
This report features course attributes, including flags to identify if a course is cross-listed and/or roomshared. The result set also features instructor attributes, including the instructor name, the credited department, and the instructor hours/wk.
-
A course can be roomshared but not crosslisted. The course number for a crosslisted course usually begins with C.
-
When a professor has an appointment in two departments in which a course is offered, the report shows two different credited departments and one offering department.
