Update 10/12:

June 2021 Payroll dashboard Hours, Derived Effort, and Actuals Amount are no longer double and match the Finance and PI Portfolio dashboards. The last residual issue we are working on is that a handful of vouchers for June 2021 are still showing as "AP Accrual" instead of the purchase description.

Update 10/9:

September 10, 2021

The GAEL rate for PI Portfolio projections has been updated from FY21 1.55% to FY22 1.75%. This went live on 9/10 after 5 pm. Projections created before this went live still show the FY21 1.55% rate. They need to be updated in order to trigger the FY22 rate to show. The update can be minor, like adding a period in the comment. Projections created after this update went live show the FY22 1.75% rate automatically.

Working with the VC-Equity & Inclusion's office, we have implemented a change in how the Pacific Islander ethnicity category rolls up in Cal Answers student reporting.  Rather than appearing under the "Asian/Pacific Islander" level 1 ethnicity category, the group will now be under "Underrepresented Minority."  In addition, the level 1 category of "Asian/Pacific Islander" will change to "Asian".  To ensure that trend reporting continues to work correctly, this change will apply to all historical data for both undergraduate and graduate students in Cal Answers.  Note that no level 2 or le

Cal Answers Finance and Payroll Communities,
When we transitioned from the legacy PPS system to UCPath, the term Payroll Period End Date (or Pay Period End Date) took on a new meaning. The Payroll Period End Date is now the last date of the UCPath payroll period in which pay was processed, corresponding to the old PPS term Pay Cycle End Date. The equivalent of the old Pay Period End Date field is now the Earnings Period End Date field.

In a presentation typically delivered to new deans and select managers on campus, the Office of Planning & Analysis (OPA) will share institutional data about the UC Berkeley undergraduate student body.

Ever wonder what U.S. States our out-of-state domestic students come from, or how the demographics of freshman entrants differ from transfer entrants? OPA staff will cover these topics, and much much more.

Cal Answers Student Data Community,

The Undergrad Apps by Multiple Fields report in the Undergraduate Applicants dashboard used an older design that only allowed you to group data by four fields at a time. Newer reports in Cal Answers, however, such as Grad Apps by Multiple Fields, Financial reports, and HR reports, all use an improved design in which you can include or exclude any number of fields that you want from a large list.
