The Course Grade Distribution dashboard is now available only to people with access to restricted student dashboards.  We will replace it in June 2024 with a more generally available version named the Class Grade Distribution dashboard. If possible, please use the Our Berkeley Grades by Course & Term  dashboard, until the new dashboard is available.

The GAEL rate for PI Portfolio projections has been updated from FY21 1.55% to FY22 1.75%. This went live on 9/10 after 5 pm. Projections created before this went live still show the FY21 1.55% rate. They need to be updated in order to trigger the FY22 rate to show. The update can be minor, like adding a period in the comment. Projections created after this update went live show the FY22 1.75% rate automatically.

Cal Answers Community,
Over the past two years, the Cal Answers team has focused on bringing UCPath data into Cal Answers. We have created and updated a wide array of reporting dashboards, and are happy to let you know the project is now complete. UCPath has a very big impact on Cal Answers reporting and we updated almost every subject area. Highlights of the changes include:
     
  • Decreased the time it takes for UCPath data to show in Cal Answers from two days to daily

Working with the VC-Equity and Inclusion's office, we have implemented a change in how the Pacific Islander ethnicity category rolls up in Cal Answers student reporting. Rather than appearing under the "Asian/Pacific Islander" level 1 ethnicity category, the group will now be under "Underrepresented Minority." In addition, the level 1 category of "Asian/Pacific Islander" will change to "Asian". To ensure that trend reporting continues to work correctly, this change will apply to all historical data for both undergraduate and graduate students in Cal Answers.

We've just completed some updates to the Course View report in the Curriculum Long Term Planning dashboard that will help make planning for Summer course offerings a bit easier.  We've added three new filters to the report:  Student Level, Term Session Number, and Summer Student Ty

Cal Answers Finance and Payroll Communities,
When we transitioned from the legacy PPS system to UCPath, the term Payroll Period End Date (or Pay Period End Date) took on a new meaning. The Payroll Period End Date is now the last date of the UCPath payroll period in which pay was processed, corresponding to the old PPS term Pay Cycle End Date. The equivalent of the old Pay Period End Date field is now the Earnings Period End Date field.

Beginning on Sunday, December 15, when you log in to Cal Answers, you'll be asked to sign in with your CalNet ID and then approve access to your account via DUO. Once you've signed in, you'll be taken directly to the Cal Answers system home page.
