Common Filters in Student Applicant Dashboards

| Academic Year | This is the application cycle in which a student applies for admission. |
| Semester | Although undergraduate applicants apply for an academic year, they may be admitted to either the Fall or Spring semester within that academic year. Graduate students may be admitted to a Summer, Fall, or Spring semester. |
| Applicant Type | Potential undergraduates apply as either New Freshmen with no prior education beyond high school, or as Transfer students from community colleges or other higher education institutions. |
| Applicant Status | Applicant status allows you to limit results to all applicants, only those applicants who were admitted, or only those admittees who submitted a statement of intent to register (SIR). |
| Applied College | This is the college or school to which a student applies. |
| Admitted College | This is the college or school to which a student is admitted. |
| Degree Level | In the Graduate Applicants dashboard and subject area, the degree level (also referred to as degree goal) indicates the type of degree that an applicant intends to pursue. |
| Derived Residency | Derived Residency is a combination of citizenship and California residency. Values in this field identify students as California residents, US citizens and residents from other US states and territories, or international students. |
