Procure to Pay releases 'At a Glance' dashboard

March 18, 2013

The Cal Answers Procure to Pay team recently redesigned its navigation, released the foundational 'At a Glance' dashboard, and provideed two new reports!

New folder structure and navigation
With the introduction of the 'At a Glance' dashboard the folder structure and individual dashboard names have been changed to be more in line with how reports are categorized. Whether you are on the 'At a Glance' dashboard or navigating through the Dashboard menu, the new structure will simplify the navigation process and deliver a more consistent experience.

'At a Glance' dashboard
The new dashboard is a helpful starting point to explore all the Procure to Pay reports currently available. It organizes reports by subject and provides summary report graphs which link directly to their corresponding detailed reports. So you may compare your unit to campus, the new Fast Facts list quickly answers many common campus-level BearBuy questions.

'Same Creator and Approver' report
This report aids you in monitoring theft risk. It identifies where in the BearBuy system the same user was the PR Creator, PR Org Node Approver, and Voucher Org Node Approver. Key business questions the report addresses are:

  • Where are we at risk for fraud?
  • How can we improve the approval chain, so there is oversight for all transactions?

'Time to Pay' report
This report helps you understand, manage, and identify savings opportunities through timely voucher approvals and discount vendor payment terms. Key business questions the report addresses are:

  • Where are payments not meeting vendor payment terms?
  • Where are opportunities to negotiate better payment terms or use a more efficient method of processing payments?
  • Are vouchers being approved in a timely manner?
