UG Applicant Counts Report

Overview

This report shows undergraduate headcounts of applicants, admissions, and statements of intent to register, by academic year and term, applicant type, residency, college of application, and intended major.  It also shows trends for admit rate and yield rate by college.

Filters

You can filter by Academic Year, Semester, Derived Residency, and Applicant Type. The Student Applicant Wiki Data Dictionary explains each of these filters.

Reports

The tabular reports for headcount by applied, admitted, and SIRed are organized by college in the rows and year in the columns. You can drill down on college to see intended majors.

The trend reports for admit rate and yield rate are at the college level and do not have a drill down by major.

Sample Questions

Describe the trend for yield rates for transfer students over the last four years.

1. Make these selections in the filters and Apply:
  • Academic Year: 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23
  • Applicant Type: Transfer

2. View the Yield Rate by College line chart.

While there has been some up and down movement in the College of Environmental Design and the Rausser College of Natural Resources, yield rates have held steady in the College of Chemistry, College of Engineering, and the College of Letters and Science.

What was the Haas admit rate for first-year students in 2022-23?

Notice that Haas does not appear on the Admit Rate chart when filtering on Applicant Type of Freshmen. However, if you change Applicant Type to Transfer, Haas appears on the chart. Starting in the academic year 2023-24, Haas will be admitting first year students.
