Make the following selections in the Common Filters and then select Apply:
- Financial Aid Yr: 2018-19 and 2021-22
- Semester Nm: Fall and Spring
- Undergrad/Grad: Graduate
In the Award Category Detail by Source chart, select Loan from the Award Category drop-down list.
The report presents the 2018-19 Financial Aid Yr. To get 2021-22, you must select from the drop-down list.
It is possible to see both years in the report by moving the Financial Aid Yr column. Right-click on the Financial Aid Yr column heading and select Move Column / To Columns.

What proportion of loans paid to graduate students in 2018-19 and 2021-22 are federal loans?
Of loans paid to graduate students, 81.4% were federal loans in 2018-19 and 84% in 2021-22.
What if we wanted to do the same analysis, but only include students in the School of Journalism?
In the Academic Hierarchy Filters, select Grad School of Journalism for the College and select Apply.
The report still has the two academic years presented so we can see that Federal Loans accounted for 95.5% of awards paid in 2018-19 and 100% in 2021-22.
